The 'premium edition' was a limited-edition run of reprints of the original AD&D rulebooks but printed with modern binding and covers with page marking ribbons. These reprints featured the original content and art, but with new cover designs based on iconic art pieces from the original AD&D run. 

Other than these slight upgrades, there was little else 'premium' about these books and while they are a wonderful artifact for the collection, they aren't very likely to see use. 

The Player's Handbook reprint helped support the Gygax Memorial Fund, which was established to create a memorial statue for Gary Gygax in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. 

This is the companion DMG to the premium PHB. This came out at the same time and in the same style as the first book in this reprinted series. 

As with all D&D variants, the DMG contained rules, help and advice for the game referee. 

This is the companion monster book to the premium PHB and DMG books. This came out almost a month later than the other two books (really not sure why) and was in the same style as the first two books in this reprinted series.

This book contains all the monster stat blocks and lore for creatures in the AD&D game.
